GenogramAI's text-to-genogram feature lets you describe a family in natural language and automatically generates a complete genogram.
How to Use
- Click the AI Family Architect button in the toolbar (sparkles icon)
- Select Text to Genogram mode
- Type a description of the family
- Click Generate
- AI creates the genogram with all people and relationships
Writing Effective Prompts
Good Prompt Example
"John Smith (1960-2020) was an Irish-American Catholic who married Mary Kim (1965), a Korean Buddhist. They had two children: David (1990), who has diabetes and works as an engineer, and Sarah (1993), a doctor. John's father Tom (1935-1995) died of heart disease."
This prompt includes: names, dates, relationships, heritage, religion, medical conditions, and occupations.
Tips for Better Results
- Include birth years - Use format "Name (1960)" or "Name (1960-2020)" for deceased
- Specify relationships - Use clear terms: "married", "divorced", "had children"
- Add details - Include medical conditions, heritage, occupation
- Be explicit - Don't assume AI will infer connections
